Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) and CCD sensors are the most widely used image sensor technologies on the market today.

The CMOS image sensor adopts the most commonly used CMOS technology for semiconductor circuits. Through this technology, the AGC, CDS, Timing generator, or DSP peripheral circuits can be integrated into the image sensor, thereby saving the cost of the peripheral circuit chip and, in addition, the low cost. Power consumption and small size are also the main competitive advantages of CMOS.

Currently, some international companies such as Micron, Samsung, Powerway, Sony, and Canon have actively introduced CMOS technology. In the future, they will have the opportunity to compete with CCD sensors.
