Asus will push screen to rotate and fold Ultrabook

Asus will push screen to rotate and fold Ultrabook According to Taiwan’s “Electronic Times” report, industry sources said that according to Intel’s Ultrabook promotion plan, Asustek will jointly launch Intel’s Ultrabook with a screen that can be swiveled and folded at the Computex Taipei Computer Show in 2012. The product will work with the Windows 8 operating system.

Although Lenovo had previously launched the ThinkPad X series with similar features, this feature was used on the Ultrabook for the first time, and the product is expected to be released in September 2012 in sync with Windows 8.

Sources pointed out that with the official launch of Ivy Bridge in April 2012, Ultrabooks with new features will be able to attract consumers' attention, resulting in a significant increase in sales of similar products.

Intel is also advising downstream partners on the future Ultrabook model design. The screen can be rotated/folded with a touch screen so that the Ultrabook can be used like a traditional laptop or a tablet computer.
