A light-sensitive chip that integrates high-power infrared LEDs with high-gain/high-speed integrated circuits reduces power consumption to less than a quarter of Toshiba's current ICs (TLX9304, TLX9376, and TLX9378) and will be reduced in automotive applications. Standby and power consumption in the drive.

Based on sales in 2015 and 2016, Gartner's latest market report confirms Toshiba's position as a leading manufacturer of optocouplers. In FY2016, Toshiba related products accounted for 23% of the sales market share. (Source: Gartner, Inc. “Market Share: Global Semiconductor Equipment and Applications 2016”, March 30, 2017.)

Toshiba will promote the development of a diverse portfolio of optocouplers and optical relays based on market trends and continue to provide products that meet customer needs.
