The preparation of CNC machining program is an important technical work of using CNC machine tools. The ideal CNC program should not only ensure the production of qualified parts that meet the requirements of parts drawings, but also make the functions of CNC machine tools properly applied and fully utilized. The machine tool can work safely, reliably and efficiently.
CNC programming refers to the entire working process from the drawing of parts to the acquisition of CNC machining programs. The programming work mainly includes:
(1) Analysis of part drawings and development of process plan The contents of this work include: analysis of part drawings, clarification of processing contents and requirements; determination of machining plans; selection of suitable CNC machine tools; selection or design of tools and fixtures; determination of reasonable Take the route and choose a reasonable amount of cutting. This work requires the programmer to analyze the technical characteristics, geometry, dimensions and process requirements of the part pattern, and combine the basic knowledge of CNC machine tools, such as the specifications and performance of CNC machine tools, the functions of the CNC system, etc. And processing routes.
(2) Mathematical processing After determining the process plan, it is necessary to calculate the tool center motion trajectory according to the geometrical dimensions of the part, the machining route, etc., to obtain the tool position data. CNC systems generally have linear interpolation and circular interpolation functions. For the simpler planar parts composed of arcs and straight lines, only the coordinate values ​​of the intersection points or tangent points of adjacent geometric elements on the part contour are calculated. The starting point, the end point of each geometric element, the coordinates of the center of the arc, etc., can meet the programming requirements. When the geometry of the part is inconsistent with the interpolation function of the control system, more complicated numerical calculations are needed. Generally, computer-aided calculation is needed, otherwise it is difficult to complete.
(3) Writing the part processing program After completing the above process processing and numerical calculation work, the part processing program can be written. The programmer uses the program instructions of the numerical control system to write the machining program piece by piece according to the specified program format. The programmer should be familiar with the functions, program instructions and codes of the CNC machine tool in order to write the correct machining program.
(4) Program inspection The machining program of the CNC machine tool can be controlled by inputting the programmed machining program into the numerical control system. Generally, the program should be inspected before formal processing. The machine tool can be used to check the correctness of the machine's motion and motion trajectory to check the program. On CNC machines with graphical analog display functions, the program can be checked by displaying the path of the tool or simulating the cutting process of the tool. For parts with complex shapes and high requirements, it is also possible to test the procedure by trial cutting with easy-to-cut materials such as aluminum, plastic or paraffin. By checking the test piece, you can not only confirm whether the program is correct, but also know whether the machining accuracy meets the requirements. If the same material as the material of the machined part can be used for trial cutting, it can better reflect the actual processing effect. When it is found that the processed part does not meet the processing technical requirements, the program can be modified or the size compensation can be taken.
