Just got into the CNC program. Among them, there are UDT custom data blocks, and DB blocks are generated by UDT. I don't know how to see which UDT is generated by the generated DB block. It won't be the content of it.
A: UDT is used to define complex data, not to generate data blocks. The internal structure of the UDT looks a bit like a data block, but the UDT is definitely not a data block. The default names of UDT are UDT1, UDT2, and so on. Once defined, you can use the UDT1 you defined just like you would with a data type Byte. You don't know the name of a UDT defined by someone else (not necessarily the default UDT1, etc.). If there is a non-standard data type in the data type of the variable, it is a custom data type.
You can quickly find a custom data type in the following ways:
Select "Block" in the SIMATIC Manager, execute the menu command "View" → "Filter", open the "New Filter" dialog box, select "SELECT", click the "More" button, and select "Data Type". After clicking the "OK" button, only the remaining custom data types can be seen in the "Block" workspace on the right.

Execute the menu command "View" → "Filter" again, switch to "No Filter" and click the "OK" button to display all the blocks.
