The site brings together specialists in geospatial engineering, machine learning and data science, and is committed to developing cutting-edge technologies to achieve its “self-improvement†function in HD LiveMap. HERE HD Live Map uses real-time crowdsourced data from vehicle sensors to verify and update the map, keeping it current and accurate, and it is indispensable for the safety and comfort of the entire autonomous vehicle. The vehicle relied on the map to locate its own road position and better understand the road environment beyond the scope of its near-field sensors in order to make strategic planning. The establishment of the Bord Base is aimed at accelerating the access of many HERE customers and partners to the market. The base includes verification test points and adopts mass production methods to apply the technology to the market. The HERE team has 20 employees and is growing. The team will work with colleagues around the world, from Berkeley, California, to Berlin, Germany, with more than 8,500 employees in 56 countries.
