Plasma type

Plasma (abbreviated as PDP) is a new-generation display device adopting plasma flat screen technology that has been rapidly developed in recent years. Currently, there are two types of products sold on the market, one is a plasma display and the other is a plasma television. There is not much difference in nature, the only difference is whether there is a built-in TV receiver tuner.

Since the early stage of PDP development was mainly for commercial display applications, there are still many PDPs that do not have a built-in television receiver tuner, that is, they cannot directly receive television signals. Therefore, if this product is selected, it can only be used as a TV signal tuner receiver through other devices such as satellite decoders or video recorders, or it can be purchased separately as a TV receiver. Now that plasma has begun to be designed and manufactured for home users, some of the current production plasmas have built-in TV receivers. These models have RF RF connection terminals in advance and can directly broadcast TV programs.

Most domestic PDPs have built-in TV receivers such as Hisense, SVA SVA and TCL. And foreign manufacturers, some products use external TV receivers, and some products use built-in TV receivers. Generally speaking, the PDP of an external TV receiver is called a plasma display, and the PDP of a built-in TV receiver is called a plasma TV. When buying, you should ask whether or not you have a TV reception function.
