Molex , the world's leading electronic components company, introduces innovative HOZOXTM electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorption and absorption sheets for high-frequency equipment manufacturers in a variety of industries, including medical, consumer electronics, data/telecommunications, and microwave/RF . HOZOX absorption technology utilizes a unique two-layer design to maximize EMI noise suppression. The composite powder of the magnetic layer can absorb lower frequency electromagnetic energy, while the powder of the conductive layer and the high loss dielectric resin absorb high frequency electromagnetic energy. These products are available in extremely thin form factors and are available in two different absorption tape formats, as well as the A4 sheet format, all of which can be easily die cut to specific configuration specifications.

HOZOX technology uses a unique two-layer structure that effectively absorbs both MHz and GHz electromagnetic energy to provide ultra-wideband EMI noise suppression. The HOZOX absorption strip and the side of the absorbing sheet are insulated so that they can be placed in contact with any low power active component, such as a noisy digital or analog integrated circuit. Although HOZOX technology converts a portion of its absorbed electromagnetic waves into thermal energy, the amount is minimal and does not cause adverse temperature rise effects in the terminal unit. HOZOX technology is lead-free technology that meets RoHS 2011/65/EU requirements and meets UL 94V-0 equivalent flammability requirements.
