Since the backlight is an essential component, it will increase the thickness of the whole machine, so it is more disadvantageous than OLED TV, so the new generation of QLED TV may use a glass light guide solution to reduce the thickness. In addition, price positioning is also a big problem for QLED TV this year. Taking the 55å‹4K TV as an example, the retail price of both OLED TV and QLED TV is only about $100. However, in recent years, under the strong propaganda of LG Electronics and Sony, OLED TV has become synonymous with high-end TV in the minds of consumers, so the high price of QLED TV affects the willingness to purchase.
